Travel Basketball

This is an extremely competitive program designed for those boys and girls in grades 2-8 interested in a higher level of competition. This program runs from approx. October 15 – March 15. Every team practices twice weekly for 90 minutes per practice with games on Sundays through the Metrowest Youth Basketball League.

Travel teams will consist of between 10-12 players per team. The board of directors reserves the right to review and adjust team roster sizes as it sees fit. With many kids trying out, it is a very difficult task selecting a team. Mistakes can be made; however, with the experienced coaching staff and selection committees, they do the best job they can. Bear in mind, everyone involved is a volunteer.

Eligibility for Metrowest Travel teams:

• Boys and Girls in grades 2 – 8 are eligible to tryout for a Metrowest team. Both Boys and Girls will tryout for the team of their grade level.
• You must be a resident of Walpole to have your child tryout for this program.

All players who are not selected for a travel team will automatically be placed on a team for the InTown Rec Program.

All players use the same registration form (InTown Rec and Travel). Players selected to a travel team will be billed the additional fee at that time.

Cost

There is an additional fee for participating in this program ($210 due at registration, and an additional Payment of $185 due AFTER Tryout team selection). This year we are offering a sibling discount of $25 off for each child after the 1st child within your family household registers.
